Digitisation of fire safety – collaboration for the future

The results of an exciting collaboration on digitisation of working methods in fire safety were published recently. The work develops in an informed way based on experience how this should be done and why digitisation is the key to a sustainable and safe society in the future.

Briab carried out the work together with Bengt Dahlgren, Veidekke and Skanska, and the results are summarised in the report that can be downloaded below.

“The fire safety discipline can make a big difference to future community construction, and the keys are collaboration and new technology,” says Fredrik Hiort, Senior Partner at Briab and one of the authors of the report.

An important insight in the report is how digitising fire safety working methods and integration into the BIM process creates conditions for greater participation and better communication between all actors in a project, collaboration that leads directly to increased quality and efficiency – a must for both profitability and sustainability development of the community construction sector.
